The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual for the role of CHOICES & Aged Care Cleaner. This flexible casual role will offer successful applicants the opportunity to deliver a valuable service to people who are ageing and/or living with a disability. Our clients are living in their own homes and/or with family. The CHOICES & Aged Care Services are a passionate and supportive team with the shared purpose of delivering services that will improve the lives of those we support.
The types of support you would be providing include but are not limited to:
General house cleaning essential light cleaning including dusting mopping vacuuming washing dishes cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
Ensure all common areas including lounges dining areas and washrooms are clean and well-maintained.
Laundry services wash dry and iron items change bed sheets and wash those removed.
Interact with clients respectfully and compassionately providing a friendly and reassuring presence.
Participate in team meetings.
Adhere to all policies and procedures within the organization.
Required Skills
The ability and willingness to engage with people in a non judgmental way.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on compassionate interactions with elderly residents.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Flexible and adaptable to varied cleaning environments and schedules.
Personal alignment with the agencys mission and values.
About You
The ideal person we are looking for has:
Workers are required to use their own vehicle to travel between shifts therefore comprehensive care insurance is required.
A current drivers licence.
A valid National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
A Working With Vulnerable People Card or willingness to obtain one.
Basic computer skills (for reporting and communication purposes) are an advantage but not mandatory.
