Full-Time Custodian

-Location: Kailua HI 96734

-Key Responsibilities:

Able to follow instructions

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in assigned duties including: Sweeping dusting mopping vacuuming cleaning spills restrooms offices sidewalks pathways window sills railings stairways parking lots removing bird droppings and clean and wiping down surfaces.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces

Restock cleaning supplies as needed

Empty trash receptacles wastebaskets and recyclables disposing of them in designated areas

Multi-task and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Adhere to safety procedures at all times

Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service

Communicate effectively with supervisors co-workers vendors and property managers

Report safety issues or building problems (e.g. burnt light bulbs)

Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding needed supplies and equipment for cleaning duties

Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or property manager

-Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED preferred

Must pass a background check

Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but willing to train enthusiastic candidates

Strong public relations and communication skills

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

Capable of performing basic manual labor including: Cleaning common areas frequently lifting pushing pulling and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs) reaching overhead grasping objects bending kneeling crawling squatting climbing stretching walking and standing throughout shifts

Experience operating various cleaning machinery (e.g. leaf blower power washer floor scrubber) is preferred but not necessary

-Schedule: Sunday Monday Wednesday: 12 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday and Saturday: 6:00AM to 2:30PM (5 days 40 hours per week)

Days off: Tuesday and Friday

-Compensation: $16.00 per hour
