Department Overview

The System Division is an organization that can engage in all tasks related to its all system such as planning development operation and maintenance etc. ranging from basic business systems to user applications for iPhone / Android. The systems are open architectures and we are also actively adopting open source technology. As taking on the important role of IT that determines the success or failure of the banking business which is a social infrastructure you can also enjoy the taste of it.

We System Security Supervisory Department work on designing security systems against cyber attacks fraudulent money transfer and money laundering.

We Rakuten bank provide online based services as internet bank but criminals also attack over internet.

So we are needed as professionals who can take care of authentication design monitoring fraud actions detecting cyber attacks reviewing systems in terms of system security designing backend security.

System security members can brush up a skill at the forefront of financial internet services to contribute to updating system security or related security rules.

Position Details

The responsibilities of the in-house security team primarily involve planning promoting and operating security measures.

Planning tasks include threat analysis evaluation of security products and devising security measures. Promotion tasks involve implementing the devised security measures through projects promoting the activities of Rakuten Banks CSIRT responding to various security-related inquiries from internal users and reporting to external entities such as financial authorities. Operational tasks include regular reporting of security risks vulnerability management audit responses incident response and analysis and handling various inquiries.

In carrying out these tasks it is necessary to collaborate not only with different teams within the department but also with other departments. Therefore appropriate communication skills are required in addition to security knowledge.

Regarding organizational management we operate in a way that accumulates knowledge know-how and skills by sharing schedules progress and issues with all members in department meetings held every morning and evening.

The appeal of this role lies in the ability to contribute to the security of an expanding internet bank with specialized security expertise.
