The Semiconductor Fabrication Operator Level 1 is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the semiconductor manufacturing process. This role involves learning to operate basic fabrication equipment following established procedures and ensuring product quality under the guidance of more experienced operators. The Level 1 operator will gain foundational knowledge and skills necessary for advancement within the semiconductor manufacturing field.
The role will temporarily operate Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:00pm. When production ramps up in the second half of the year operations will transition back to our compressed 12-hour shift model. At that time you will be assigned to one of the following shifts:
A Shift: Monday-Wednesday and every other Sunday (6:00am-6:00pm)
B Shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Sunday (6:00am-6:00pm)
C Shift: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday (6:00pm-6:00am)
D Shift: Wednesday-Friday and every other Saturday (6:00pm-6:00am)
Responsibilities:
- Engage in on-the-job training and development opportunities as directed by trainer/supervisor to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Complete all required training on equipment operation to include certification.
- Efficiently operate equipment in an assigned functional area as well as test/measurement equipment in support of primary equipment responsibilities under the supervision of trainer or supervision.
- Collaborate closely with trainer to develop skills and knowledge in fabrication techniques.
- Adhere to all written specifications. 100% compliance for all qualified tasks.
- Does not perform tasks where not qualified or certified without direction of trainer or supervision.
- Basic problem solving.
- Maintains accurate records of production activities under the guidance of the trainer/supervision.
- Complies with all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Responds to discrepant material dispositions under direction of trainer.
- Abides by all protocols of working in a cleanroom environment such as gowning wafer handling and other cleanroom standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Develop positive working relationships with peers and support groups.
- Recognize a variety of visual and audible alarms. Must be able to distinguish between distinct types of alarms and be able to evacuate safely if deemed necessary.
- Strict adherence to attendance and break policies.
- Remain alert and engaged and alert for the entire shift.
- Make effective use of idle time through equipment setup staging of product and lot transportation.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Basic math (addition subtraction multiplication division averaging interpreting graphs)
- Effective oral written and interpersonal communication skills including reading and interpreting documents such as operating specifications and engineering change orders.
- Sit stand or walk for extended periods of time (up to 11 hours per shift).
- Routinely uses 5 15 pounds of pushing/pulling force to move a fully loaded cart throughout the factory. Up to thirty pounds of force if needed infrequently for evasive moves.
- Reaching (above and below shoulder height stoop bend squat kneel and crouch to retrieve product transport work and take equipment readings etc.
- Routinely lifts and carries using both hands approximately15 pounds.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $20.00-24.00/hr.
