The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions with increased responsibility for financial reporting project accounting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare all necessary financial reports journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis
- Daily cash management reports and bank reconciliations
- Post adjusting journal entries at month-end
- Preparation of monthly account and bank reconciliations
Cash Management:
- Deposit cash and scan backup
- Daily cash management and bank reconciliations
Additional:
- Support staff on special projects as needed
- Provide assistance with interim and year-end audits
Qualifications :
- BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3-8 years of experience in accounting of similar for a major company or division of a large corporation
- Experience in an Architecture/Engineering or Professional Service Company is a plus
- Have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Strong computer skills proficiency with Excel and Word
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated self-starter
- Superior organizational analytical and critical thinking skills
- Prior experience with Deltek VantagePoint would be a plus
