MondayFriday 11:00 AM 7:30 PM
Starting Pay:
$18/hour based on experience

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative and qualitative medical record reviews
- Communicate with physicians regarding incomplete medical records and follow up to ensure timely completion in accordance with regulatory standards
- Accurately scan and index records according to policy
- Communicate effectively with hospital leaders physicians and clinicians to ensure proper record maintenance and timely resolution of issues
- Process release of information requests in compliance with departmental state and federal requirements
- Abstract clinical and quality data from medical records for internal and external reporting needs
- Assist leadership with timely data collection and submission including CMS reporting requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Meet annual goals and complete other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two (2) years of experience in a Health Information department within a healthcare facility
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills urgency and respect for confidentiality
- Experience with Epic or other EMRs and database systems
- Ability to communicate professionally with hospital staff clinicians and external partners
- Customerservice mindset with a collaborative approach
- Ability to adapt to changing workload and workflow demands
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in Health Information Technology or related healthcare field
- RHIT or RHIA certification
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
