About Us

Group IT provides technology strategy governance delivery and support for all of Toll. The team enable Toll with the right technology foundations and business systems to grow the business and support our customer needs.

As the IT Security Architect you will:

  • Design build and maintain security architectures patterns and reference designs aligned to ISO 27001 NIST and Zero Trust principles.
  • Embed security into solution design and delivery by working directly with architects and engineering teams.
  • Design and implement hands-on security controls including firewall rules network segmentation application access policies identity integrations and traffic flows.
  • Assess new technologies and third-party services through threat modelling architecture reviews and risk assessments providing clear implementable mitigations.
  • Define and implement security requirements for IAM encryption secure coding logging monitoring and data protection.
  • Design and secure cloud and SaaS platforms (Azure AWS GCP) including network security identity and secure connectivity.
  • Lead and support vulnerability remediation efforts and provide technical security expertise during RFPs design reviews and incident response.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in IT or related field. A Masters Degree would be well regarded
  • Certifications such as CISSP SABSA TOGAF AWS/Azure Security Specialty or CCSP are highly desirable.

Skills and Experience

  • 8 years in information security with at least 3 years in a solution or security architecture role.
  • Strong knowledge of modern enterprise architecture cloud security zero trust network security and identity management.
  • Hands-on experience with security controls in Azure AWS or GCP environments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices secure SDLC and automation tools (CI/CD pipelines IaC).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Capacity to evaluate technologies assess security risks and provide strategic guidance for secure configurations and deployments.
  • Experience in contributing to security policies guiding security decisions in RFPs and supporting incident response planning.
