About the Role:
Are you ready to take the next step in your career ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an entry-level Electrical Design Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role you will contribute to the design of overhead and underground electrical utility projects gaining hands-on experience in the field of electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems for overhead and underground utility projects including creating detailed construction drawings and accurate bills of materials.
- Perform field visits (25%-30%) to inspect infrastructure and ensure the accuracy of designs.
- Support pre-construction activities answering questions related to the job site and design.
- Ability to work in a customer and client-facing environment with strong customer service skills
What Were Looking For:
- Entry-level experience (0-3 years) in a design engineering role.
- Proficiency in drafting/design software (e.g. AutoCAD MicroStation etc.) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment.
- Associates degree in technical related field is preferred
- Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation for fielding expectations.
- Willingness to travel locally (up to 25%) as needed for project support
Bonus Qualifications:
- Motivated proactive and eager to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with electrical distribution systems and concepts is a plus
