Job Summary
Were seeking someone to join our Capital Technology team as a java/scala dev in Finance Tech to help build our next-generation regulatory capital calculations analysing risk weighted assets and ensuring compliance with capital requirements to support informed financial and risk management decisions
In the Technology division we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering position at Associate level 2 which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What youll do in the role:
- Work within a squad of developers to implement the solution and promote good design as well as development best practices.
- Design and architect cloud -based solutions based on business requirements
- Analyze functionality in existing systems that need to be renovated
- Implement and test solutions and deliver them to production
- Mentor developers in the team locally and globally
- Support users during UK hours
What youll bring to the role:
- 2 years of experience in software development or any relevant experience.
- Proven experience in a programming language (OOP) such as Java C# or Scala.
- Experience in application architecture and systems integration.
- Understanding of databases preferably OLAP.
- Understanding of full software development lifecycle and concepts such as test-driven development.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn cloud technologies such as Databricks and Snowflake
