Senior IT Operations Engineer

The Job

We are looking for a senior IT generalist who owns the internal IT landscape at Logpoint.

You are the kind of person who enjoys fixing a helpdesk issue in the morning automating half the platform by lunch and tightening security controls in the afternoon. You care deeply about doing things right building solid systems and leaving things better than you found them.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership broad responsibility and plenty of room to improve automate and secure our environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Own and operate Logpoints internal IT infrastructure across on-prem cloud and SaaS platforms.
• Act as a senior escalation point for helpdesk and user-facing issues while contributing to ticket resolution when required.
• Design implement and maintain secure system architectures following zero-trust and least-privilege principles.
• Drive automation of provisioning patching monitoring and reporting using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage identity access and endpoint lifecycle (joiners movers leavers) with a strong focus on security and compliance.
• Ensure systems are patched monitored backed up and recoverable according to defined SLAs.
• Participate in incident response including investigation containment recovery and post-incident improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation diagrams and operational runbooks.
• Proactively identify technical debt risks and improvement opportunities and turn them into actionable initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Security Engineering and Business stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Broad IT experience youre a generalist not a single-tool specialist.
• Comfortable working across Windows Mac Linux cloud platforms identity systems and endpoints.
• Strong scripting skills with PowerShell; Python or similar is a bonus.
• Solid understanding of security automation and modern IT best practices.
• You take pride in your work treat systems as your own and dont wait to be told what to fix.
• You stay level-headed under pressure balance being helpful with keeping systems secure and enjoy learning and automating away repetitive tasks.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Operating systems and infrastructure experience with Windows Server Linux Active Directory DNS DHCP and virtualization platforms (VMware or similar).
• Cloud and SaaS experience with Azure AWS Microsoft 365 identity platforms (Entra ID / Okta) and SaaS integrations.
• Endpoint management experience including Intune MDM concepts patching and compliance baselines across Windows macOS and Linux.
• Networking and security fundamentals including firewalls VPNs segmentation conditional access MFA and EDR concepts.
• Automation and scripting experience using PowerShell Python or similar including API-driven automation.
• Experience with monitoring backup strategies disaster recovery and restore testing.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 CIS benchmarks and general regulatory requirements.
• 5 years of experience in senior IT operations system administration or a similar IT generalist role.
• Proven experience supporting both user-facing IT services and backend infrastructure in production environments.
• Hands-on experience driving automation and security improvements; experience in regulated or security-conscious environments is a strong plus.
