Job Title
Technical Support Engineer

Role Overview:

1. Technical Troubleshooting & Field Support

  • Provide secondlevel and thirdlevel technical support for 9G elevator systems
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring breakdowns abnormal operations and technical escalations to support on callback reduction
  • Support field technicians on-site when complex issues or major faults arise.
  • Review error logs controller data and system configurations to diagnose issues.

2. Product Expertise & Knowledge Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the 9G elevator control system door system traction machine safety circuits and communication networks.
  • Maintain updated technical documentation troubleshooting guides and software/firmware version records.
  • Liaise with engineering R&D or global 9G product teams for advanced problem resolution.

3. Training & Capability Building

  • Conduct technical training for service technicians supervisors and new hires on 9G maintenance safety and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Assess competency gaps and develop targeted training modules or refresher programs.

4. Quality Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure that all technical solutions and field interventions comply with local codes (e.g. BCA SS550) and company safety standards.
  • Support audits incident investigations and risk assessments related to 9G equipment.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce breakdown rates callbacks and customer complaints.

5. Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring

  • Analyze field performance data breakdown trends and failure patterns to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support modernization or upgrade recommendations when systems reach obsolescence or performance limits.
  • Work with service planning teams to optimize maintenance programs (PM tasks intervals critical components).

6. Customer Support & Communication

  • Provide clear technical explanations to customers regarding major faults repair solutions and safety issues.
  • Support service sales teams by providing technical inputs for proposals upgrades and tenders related to 9G equipment.
