Responsibilities:

As aCybersecurityEngineer- SME you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the ask Order. Your responsibilities include:

• Providingdedicatedon-sitesupportforCybersecurityengineering.
• Conductingnetworkauditsassessresultsandproviderecommendedcorrectiveactions.
• Continuouslymonitoringoperationsfortrendsandanomaliesandperformanceindicators.
• Examinenetworktopologiestounderstandandsecuredataflowsacrossmultipleplatforms and environments.
• Identifyindustry-best-fitapplicationsandnetworkdevicesupporttoeffectivelysecure transport acrossthe network(s)
• Performingriskandvulnerabilityassessmentsforengineerednetworksandsystems.
• Ensuring engineering tasks and cybersecurity solutionscomply withaccreditation certification and connection standards.
• ConductsRiskDecisionAuthorityCriteria(RDAC)analysistodeterminethesecurity controls test plans and security assessments to mitigate risk IAW NCDSMO approval criteria.
• EngineeringandanalyzingsolutionsforvulnerabilityandriskassessmenttoensuresolutionsarefollowingnationalandDoDsecuritystandardsandmeasures.
• Coordinatingwithsubordinateadjacentsupportingandseniororganizationsandagenciesto support the resolution of security issues accreditation and connection approvals and engineering requests.
• ProvidingAssessmentandAuthorization(A&A)support;engineersolutionstoensuretheyinclude sound network security and design; and provide project management supportservices.
• Reviewinganalyzingand documenting thesecurityrequirementsofapplicationssystemsandnetworksacrosstheirlifecycles.
• ReviewingSecurityTest andEvaluationplans;developingorrefiningthemasnecessary.
• Advisingonnetworkandsystemrisks riskmitigationCOAsandoperationalrecommendations.
• Recommending technology upgrades and modifications based on evolving technologies bestpractices and strategic initiatives.
• EvaluatingCNDtoolsconductfunctionalityanalysesandassistinthecreationofCONOPsand policies for theappropriate useof defensive tools.
• Evaluating assessing and ensuring the compliance of ports and protocolsutilizedby ITinfrastructures systems platforms products applications and network security devices (e.g.routerACLsfirewallconfigurationportsandprotocolnodesnetworkcablingetc.).
• ResearchingandrecommendingsystemsecurityguidancebaseduponDoDDIAUSCYBERCOMJointForceHeadquarters-DepartmentofDefenseInformationNetworks(JFHQ-DODIN) and other-directed guidance.

Required qualifications:

• Previousexperience as aCybersecurityEngineer or similar rolesupporting a DoD customer at the CCMDlevel
• Minimum of 12years experiencewith BS/BA OR 16 years without a degree OR 14 years with AS/AAor10years experiencewith MS/MA or7 years experiencewithaPh.D.

• A current active DoD security clearanceat the TS/SCI level

• US citizenship is
• DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 462 Control Systems Security Specialist Advanced Level / ability to obtain

DesiredQualifications:

• DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

• Location:PopeArmy Airfield NC

• On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presencefor equipment management and asset tracking

• Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites forlogisticscoordination and facility assessments
