Job Description
As a PCB Reverse Engineering Intern youll be an integral part of the product remanufacturing process at Circuit Board Medics from identifying new product opportunities to supporting their launch and integration into production. This role offers experiential learning with real-world engineering challenges allowing you to build on classroom knowledge in areas like electrical theory electronics diagnostics reverse engineering and remanufacturing.
While working in this role youll collaborate with multiple departments to ensure we deliver high-quality timely repair solutions that meet customer and market needs. All this while gaining exposure to a unique and dynamic engineering environment met with valuable mentorship along the way.
What Youll Do
- Reverse Engineering and Testing
- Determine failure modes of potential products through PCB troubleshooting
- Document learnings and create clear work instructions to hand off to our production team
- Create applicable testing to ensure that our repairs are successful and that our quality objectives are met
- Product Identification and Prioritization
- Help identify growth opportunities and demand for products within our current markets
- Help triage the current lists of opportunities to help determine which products to pursue
- Materials and Component Sourcing
- Identify needs for component replacement and work to source compatible parts
- Collaborate with our purchasing and inventory teams to establish partnerships and ensure a reliable supply chain
- Process Optimization
- Work closely with the operations and process engineering teams to optimize remanufacturing processes improving efficiency and reducing waste
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and speed of remanufacturing operations
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing sales and customer support to align product development with market needs and customer feedback
- Provide technical expertise and support to various departments as needed
- Final Wrap-up Presentation to Leadership
