Job Summary
Mountain View Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our busy practice in Central Point Oregon. Experienced CVT preferred but willing to train the right person!
- Starting Salary: $21 25 per hour depending on experience education certifications and licensure
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts. Looking to fill Monday-Thursday now with potential Friday-Sunday shifts in 2026.
- Additional Benefits: Continuing education allowance License reimbursement Scrub allowance

Who you are:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon required or ability to obtain/transfer license within 3 months of hire
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred
- 3 years experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting preferred
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint exotic and pocket pet experience a plus!
- Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
- Perform basic exam procedures
- Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic saphenous and jugular)
- Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
- Perform complete dental procedures including digital x-rays scaling polishing charting
- Confident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction intubation monitoring aseptic technique recovery)
- Perform medical math accurately calculate draw up and administer drugs
- Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machines
- Excellent client communication/education
- Ability to perform Technician appointments independently including accurate medical record documentation
