Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Senior Manager Portfolio Management for our Irvine California location

Learn more at ( role will partner closely with the Electrophysiology Supply Chain E2E Leadership Team and Director of Strategic Process Capabilities to build and manage the EP portfolio develop supporting capabilities and tools and support prioritization and tradeoff decision-making for the portfolio in alignment with our broader EP business and operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive collaboration and partnership with the MedTech Center EP teams and external partners to ensure creation of a robust portfolio aligned E2E business strategy and development of a set of scalable capabilities to enable management of the portfolio

  • Development of the templates and guidance required to build and maintain portfolio CIP initiatives NPIs/ NPD in partnership with cross-functional leaders

  • Management of relationships with portfolio leaders to ensure accurate definition and prioritization of initiatives

  • Collaboration with Finance partners to ensure that all assumptions and business cases are consistent with the business expectations to ensure accurate relative prioritization and reporting

  • Management of master data assumptions/ conventions trainings etc. related to portfolio and business cycles (BP LRFP); inclusive of process documentation and system updates

  • Management of development teams for key tools and capabilities needed to support financial cycles BP portfolio management etc.

  • Development of requirements for systems/ tools to support portfolio management

  • Pressure-testing and validating major/ prioritized initiative business cases and assumptions in partnership with portfolio lead/ initiative owners

  • Drive active cross-functional understanding of the why and the how to define deliver and sustain our portfolio of initiatives while also ensuring full understanding of the processes and capabilities needed to deliver on our objectives

  • Ensure a robust plan is created ensuring a continuous mindset approach to execution of the defined initiatives consistent with established organizational governance

  • Development of reporting cadence methodology visualizations etc. to support leadership understanding of value realized across the portfolio resource management risks and needed prioritization decisions/ trade-offs

  • Develop executive-level materials to allow for communication of portfolio strategy progress in execution and broader cross-functional alignment

  • Ensure the know failure-modes and opportunities for improvement are tied to root causes to past failures / opportunities; thus ensuring a robust output for long term success

  • Ensure EPs long-term success by managing execution of critical SC capabilities defined as part of our broader strategy based on the maturity and improvement/ translation roadmap for delivering on desired capability maturity processes and results

  • Collaborate with the cross-functional leadership team to support/ provide input into the strategy cycle process for BP (Strategic Planning Long Range Financial Planning Business Planning) connecting with Supply Chain Franchise Functional and Enterprise partners

  • Coordinate with the leads for connected business management processes (Capital Savings Performance Management Reliability Value Capture) to develop and facilitate the ongoing reporting and update processes for the E2E LT and to define and identify escalations

  • Lead development of updates communications presentations analyses and reports in support of the EP E2E Team

  • Lead facilitate and manage the CRC request and approval process end-to-end for EP including development of templates facilitation of meetings follow-ups as needed with portfolio leads and tracking of progress against objectives

  • Partner with BWI Investment office to track and report on initiative funding and progress against key milestones

Excellence in execution partnering across functions

  • The defined strategy and execution will be cross-functional; thus requiring cross-functional participation with senior business partners knowledge of practical implementation considerations and detailed management of a broad set of initiatives and stakeholders

  • Requirement to span a broad set of functional groups processes and products while also maintaining the proper flexibility of thinking as required for the specific task at hand (i.e. range to perform detailed initiative-level pressure-testing and also to develop executive level communications on the entire portfolio)

  • Monitor performance to plan support development of G&Os ensure capability delivery is completed in alignment with our objectives people development goals and credo

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Supply Chain or technical discipline

  • Advanced degree in Engineering Finance or Supply Chain

Required skills:

  • 10 years of directly related work experience

  • Demonstrated success in communicating across all levels of the organization

  • Experience in business case development financial / business acumen is required

  • Manufacturing and program/ portfolio management experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading and influencing others in a complex matrix organization is required; ability to navigate ambiguity within a complex environment is required

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Domestically and/or internationally

  • Experience in relationship development conflict resolution team building and customer centric approach across multiple sectors / companies

  • Operations competencies inclusive of business planning (cycles) process excellence performance monitoring etc.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122000.00 - $212750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans employees are eligible to participate in the Companys consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Companys long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado 48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay including Floating Holidays 13 days per calendar year

Work Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
