Job Summary

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Support and deliver transformational change while using an agile organizational model to drive IT Network Infrastructure objectives.
  • Design and deliver a highly resilient network infrastructure to include station sites and to cloud data centers.
  • Partner with the business to ensure technology investment enables and drives business strategy.
  • Develop and manage standardized and highly efficient technology services; ensure reliability and scalability of infrastructure (switches firewalls Wi-Fi access points) in a dynamic environment.
  • Modernize legacy systems to include cloud compute data services etc.
  • Review global IT processes and technical designs to validate the appropriate use of infrastructure & operations technology.
  • Implement effective life cycle management to drive system & technology consolidation and keep footprint manageable and cost-effective.
  • Drive an Operational Excellence strategy to accomplish cost leadership by focusing on automating processes and workloads to streamline operations.
  • Utilize expertise in evaluating and identifying appropriate technology platforms for delivering the companys products.
  • Ensure all technology practices adhere to IT and/or Security compliance and regulatory standards or controls such as ISO 27001 CMMC and NIST (SP 800-215 and CSF).
  • Act as a customer partner and technology connection for business leadership.
  • Provide strong leadership with a focus on attracting motivating and developing talent.
  • Mentor and coach team to develop future leaders.
  • Work with team in setting goals creating individual development plans identifying training needs and conducting performance reviews.
  • Manage and monitor KPIs and approved Network Operations budget.
  • Represent the Network Operations team as a subset of the IT team in partnering and managing Network Operations technology vendors and suppliers outsourcing agencies to serve the interest of Crane Worldwide Logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelors degree in information technology computer science related field; or equivalent relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership in information technology and programs.
  • Experience leading IT teams and managing IT Network Operations in a global large-scale distributed client-facing organization
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience and knowledge in Fortinet products (FortiGate SD-WAN FortiGate FortiManager FortiSwitch FortiNAC FortiAP FortiAnalyzer others)
  • Experience managing and supporting network infrastructure components - routers switches firewalls Wi-Fi access points network circuits satellite circuits and knowledgeable about Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS PaaS SaaS).

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION(S)

Fortinet Certified Professional Agile Project Management (PMP) other technical and cybersecurity certifications are a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Job requires the ability to use vision adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen.
  • Job may require extended sitting or standing and the use of standard office equipment.
