Medical Technologist Core Laboratory (Night Shift)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Technologist to join a high-volume Core Laboratory in Cary NC. This role supports essential diagnostic testing during overnight hours and plays a critical role in delivering accurate timely results that directly impact patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented confident working independently and thrives in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Location: Cary NC
Shift Options:

• 4 x 10-hour shifts: 9:00 PM 7:00 AM

• 3 x 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  

• Compensation: $28 $37 per hour (based on experience)

• Perform moderate and high-complexity testing in Chemistry Hematology Coagulation and Urinalysis

• Accurately analyze verify and report patient results in accordance with established protocols

• Operate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation

• Perform and document quality control calibration and proficiency testing

• Adhere to all CLIA CAP and laboratory regulatory requirements

• Ensure proper specimen handling labeling and workflow prioritization

• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and healthcare teams to support efficient operations

• Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment

• Assist with training and mentoring of laboratory staff as needed

• ASCP or equivalent Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist certification required

• Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field

• Prior Core Lab experience preferred (Chemistry Hematology Coagulation)

• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety
