Job Summary

Maintenance Technician Position Summary:

The person in this position is required to perform maintenance related duties in order to insure the proper operation and maintenance of assigned water or wastewater facilities.

Hiring Requirements/Preferences for Maintenance Technician:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Education or background in water and/or wastewater treatment or supporting technical field (Electrical/Plumbing/Mechanical).
3 to 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician preferred or 3 to 5 years in a regulated industry.
Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to water/wastewater treatment plant troubleshooting operation and maintenance hazardous material handling storage or containment.
Ability to read interpret and utilize information found in blueprints schematics technical manuals diagrams and equipment specifications.
Basic knowledge of MA Water/Wastewater regulatory requirements
Must be computer literate.
Must possess a valid MA 2B Hoisting License or be capable of obtaining one within 6 months.
OSHA 10 General Industry Certification or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
Valid US Drivers License.
