In addition the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate undergraduate teaching laboratories supervise teaching assistants and contribute to curriculum development. The appointment is expected to begin in Fall 2026 but start date is negotiable.

The Department of Life Sciences has a multidisciplinary research active faculty. The department works closely with other departments and research centers within the College of Science and across the campus and with agency such as Texas A&M AgriLife. Our unique location and proximity to beaches wetlands coastal bays and lagoons provide a variety of habitats for research and teaching.
Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Biology Biomedical Sciences or related discipline. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.
Proven experience in teaching undergraduate level biology/biomedical courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of effective methods in teaching classroom management student assessment and advisement.
Engagement in service activities to support institutional professional society and community goals.
Experience with curriculum reform or innovative pedagogical approaches.
Experience in supervising ABSL II facilities.
