Role Definition

Assesses the supplier quality and ensures that all the products are free from defects and are in compliance with manufacturing specifications and legal standards.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and develop fabrication suppliers to meet CAT quality requirements (Sticks Booms CTWT Link TRF Handrails Pillar Light welding structures).

- Conduct supplier audits (QCLDM QMS PCN CAV etc) for supplier selection and drive corrective actions.

- Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes (cutting bending welding painting machining etc.) capability.

- Lead APQP(CPPD PPAP FMEA SPC) and sourcing council for NPI/NSI project.

- Applying quality tools (e.g. 8D SPC FMEA) for root cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Conduct supplier rough capacity capability planning (RCCP) and ramp up test to assess and find gaps on supplier capacity.

- Work with cross-functional team to drive supplier VAVE initiatives for cost optimization and design improvements.

- Identify and drive supplier automation project to improve supplier PQVC.

- Develop and execute improvement plans to elevate supplier capabilities to meet Supplier Excellence Recognition.

- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to streamline supplier processes reduce waste and improve operational performance.

- Support cost reduction & lead time optimization in the supply chain.

Additional Technical Skills:

- Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred)

- Problem-solving (8D Root Cause Analysis).

- CWI/IWE certified preferred.

- Strong teamwork & supplier relationship management.

Experience and Technical knowledge:

- 5 years in Fabrication supplier development quality management.

- Knowledge of welding painting machining process GD&T standards and quality system.

- Fabrication structure manufacture experience at manufacturing automotive or heavy machinery sectors.

- Fluent communication in English and Chinese verbally and in writing.

- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel Word Outlook Power BI)

Skill Descriptors:

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge experience and skills into real practice.

Supplier Evaluations and Certification: Knowledge of supplier evaluations and certification; ability to identify the methods tools and documentation for evaluating selecting and certifying vendors suppliers and partners.

Additional Information:

The position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
