Area Supervisor
Department: Warehouse Operations
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Position Summary
The Area Supervisor is responsible for owning day-to-day SOP execution quality and training within a defined operational area of the warehouse. This role serves as the primary point of contact for their area during assigned shifts and is accountable for meeting all SLA quality and throughput expectations. The Area Supervisor focuses on supervision and coordination gradually moving away from hands-on execution to ensure stable scalable repeatable operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Own daily workflows labor assignment and execution for a specific operational area
Ensure all SLA accuracy and quality targets are met for the assigned shift
Monitor performance and adjust priorities in real time
Escalate risks blockers or capacity issues to site leadership
Onboard and train associates using established SOPs and badging processes
Coach associates and Senior Associates to improve output and consistency
Reinforce accountability for SOP adherence quality pace and safety
Ensure consistent execution of SOPs within the area
Identify process gaps quality issues or inefficiencies and flag for improvement
Maintain clean organized and audit-ready work areas
Coordinate with other Area Supervisors to balance labor and workflow
Partner with Shift Supervisors during off-hours or thin coverage periods as needed
Support special initiatives when assigned

Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a warehouse setting
Technical competencies
Experience using Microsoft Excel & Word or Google Sheets & Docs
Comfortable independently navigating a laptop computer
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift while supervising operations
Ability to bend stoop kneel crouch or reach as required to observe workstations or demonstrate procedures
Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed
