A forward-thinking primary school in Camden is urgently seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is focused on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through targeted 1:1 and small group interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for inclusive education exceptional patience and the ability to adapt strategies to meet each childs individual needs.
You will be working closely with class teachers SENCOs and external professionals to implement interventions in literacy numeracy and emotional wellbeing. Your support will help pupils overcome barriers to learning increase confidence and achieve both academic and social goals.

Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions aligned with pupil ILPs or EHCPs
Monitor progress record outcomes and report findings to class teachers and SENCO
Support pupils in literacy numeracy and social-emotional learning programs
Promote positive behaviour and assist pupils in developing emotional regulation strategies
Assist teachers with differentiated classroom activities and group tasks
Collaborate with external specialists therapists and parents to ensure consistent support
Participate in staff meetings training and ongoing professional development
Previous experience in SEN support intervention delivery or classroom assistance
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work effectively 1:1 or with small groups
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Patience adaptability and professionalism
Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 TA ELSA or SEN-focused training
Desirable: experience with intervention programs such as Little Wandle 1st or Lexia.
Ongoing CPD in SEN interventions and support strategies
Mentoring and guidance from experienced SENCOs
