The role also involves supporting class teachers to differentiate lessons so that every pupil can access the curriculum confidently. Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEN
Support literacy numeracy and communication skill development
Foster emotional regulation positive behaviour and self-confidence
Record and track pupil progress reporting outcomes to the SENCO and teaching staff
Assist with classroom activities and differentiated lesson delivery
Work collaboratively with parents carers and external agencies to ensure consistent support
Participate in staff meetings CPD sessions and school initiatives
Previous experience supporting SEN pupils or delivering targeted interventions
Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills
Patience adaptability and empathy for children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant ELSA or SEN-specific training
Desirable: Knowledge of Talk Boost Lego Therapy Little Wandle or 1st programs.
