The Role What Youll Do

Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons at KS4KS5 aligned with current specifications and best practice.
Use assessment for learning targeted feedback and data-informed intervention to secure excellent progress.
Support enrichment such as maths challenges competitions problem-solving clubs and extension programmes.
Contribute to schemes of work shared resources and exam preparation including mock exams and revision strategies.
Maintain a purposeful classroom culture with high expectations for behaviour effort and attainment.
Play a positive role in the wider life of the school including tutoring open evenings and Sixth Form activities.

Person Specification

Essential
Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) with successful experience at KS4 and/or KS5.
Strong subject knowledge across pure applied and statistical mathematics.
Evidence of effective teaching strong classroom practice and clear communication.
Commitment to safeguarding inclusivity and student wellbeing.

Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
Evidence of raising attainment and supporting high-achieving learners.
Experience running enrichment or competitions (UKMT Olympiads).
Willingness to support university and career guidance in STEM pathways.
