The internship aims to provide practical insights into operational procurement supplier coordination and internal stakeholder support within a structured category organization. The intern will work closely with experienced buyers and the Category Leader to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes compliance and best practices while developing skills for a future career in procurement or supply chain management.
Support the operational procurement team with daily purchasing and procurement activities.
Assist in processing purchase requests orders and tracking deliveries.
Ensure procurement activities comply with internal guidelines and compliance requirements.
Aid the Category Leader and Operational Buyers in reporting documentation and administrative tasks.
Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations and delivery tracking.
Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives within operational procurement.
Education:
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Procurement Economics or related fields.
Skills:
Strong interest in procurement supply chain management and operational processes.
Structured reliable and detail-oriented working style.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Strong communication abilities and a proactive team-oriented mindset.
Technical Competencies:
Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
Languages:
Fluent German (mandatory) and English; additional language skills are a plus for international procurement tasks.
The intern will collaborate effectively with the Operational Buyer team and cross-functional teams. While leadership skills are not required initially the role emphasizes teamwork and proactive engagement.
