Job Summary

Unit Role:

Deliver specialist Raiding capabilities on operations and at readiness generate FE for LRG- operations and Develop SpecOps capabilities iot SUPPORT an OPERATE-OPERATE Cdo Force.

Position Role: Post holder is responsible to Unit 2IC for authorisation of Transport and Booking of Accommodation for 47 Ranks in order to meet Unit Outputs IAW with Policy and delegated Ltr of Authority.

Responsibilities:

  • The Movements SNCO has delegated authority to spend against all military and civilian T&S and air travel resource allocation codes (RAC) as detailed in the financial management COTEM.
  • To ensure that all T&S expenditures are in line with policy. Where business requirements are not covered directly by policy it is the responsibility of the Movements SNCO to liaise with the LWtrs and Unit 2IC to seek budgetary approval.
  • Authorise hire vehicles in line with JSP 800 when MT are unable to supply white / green fleet by using 47 Budget Control Forms (BCFs).
  • The booking of flights ferries rail & hotels ensuring request is authorised at OF3 level on BCF and ensuring the best value for money to MOD.
  • Maintain a register of all costs and reasons for expenditure.
  • Liaison with all ranks and rates prior to inputting claims onto JPA for T&S to confirm the boundaries of entitlement.
  • Liaison with all ranks and rates embarking on travel to confirm itinerary.
  • Monthly cost capture returns by accounting period.
  • Use of the travel EPC Card in exceptional circumstances ensuring its use is accurately recorded.
  • Arrange renewal issue and payment of passports for 47 ranks and rates who meet the entitlement.
  • Provide travellers with NATO Travel Orders and maintain register of issues and serial numbers.
  • Post holder has a maximum spend in line with delegated authority any spend above this needs written approval from the delegated Budget Holder.
  • Management of rounds of accommodation occupied by 47 Cdo personnel in HMS Drake.
