ISP Facilities Administrator Role Profile

Purpose of Role

The Facilities Administrator is responsible for ensuring the effective operation maintenance and safety of the schools facilities and infrastructure. This role supports a safe functional and welcoming environment for students staff and visitors by coordinating maintenance services managing vendors and ensuring compliance with health safety and institutional standards.

ISP Facilities Administrator Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation maintenance and upkeep of school facilities buildings and grounds.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical plumbing HVAC and general infrastructure systems.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers contractors and suppliers ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations including emergency and risk-prevention protocols.
  • Supervise cleaning security and maintenance staff ensuring service standards are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify repair needs and safety risks.
  • Manage inventories of tools equipment and maintenance supplies.
  • Support space planning classroom setup and logistics for school events and activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership and administrative teams on facilities planning and improvement projects.
  • Monitor and control facilities-related budgets and expenses.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities contracts and inspections.
  • Purchases for the payment of all services and materials needed for the school.
  • Ensure facilities support safeguarding policies and student well-being.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering Administration or a related field (preferred).
  • Technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations.
  • Certifications in safety facilities management or project management are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in facilities administration or building management.
  • Experience in an educational corporate or service-oriented environment preferred.
  • Proven experience managing vendors maintenance teams and service contracts.
  • Experience handling budgets and operational planning.
  • Familiarity with health safety and regulatory compliance standards.
