Job Description Summary:

The Data Retrieval Engineering Architecture and Management (DREAM) Group at Draper is seeking a Digital Engineering Data Solutions Architect to develop next generation Relational Cross Domain Data Digital Engineering Architecture for domains such as: strategic deterrent systems missile defense systems hypersonic missiles space systems precision guided munitions and autonomous air/sea vehicles. Our multi-disciplinary teams innovate and develop solutions for full system development lifecycle in areas of importance for national security.

Draper has adopted an integrated model-driven digital mindset in solving Systems Engineering problems spanning the entire lifecycle. From early-lifecycle conceptual system design and architecture detailed modeling model-driven customer reviews verification and validation integration and testing to deployment surveillance and performance monitoring Draper has a suite of Digital Engineering solution needs across our projects. Our thinking spans the entire gamut from as-designed to as-deployed lifecycle phases in supporting uncompromised delivery of solutions.

For this role the ideal candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The candidate will support the development of digital capabilities like digital twins and digital threads working closely with experienced engineers to learn and apply best practices. This role provides a foundation for growing expertise in data architecture systems engineering and advanced computing with opportunities to contribute to innovative solutions. Communications and interpersonal skills are highly valued in this role. The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with customers engineers managers and other stakeholders of all relevant disciplines is a must. Flexibility to multi-task and adapt to evolving priorities will be required. We value continuous learning and professional growth.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design develop and enhancement engineering solutions for challenging problems.

  • Implement test perform analysis and provide documentation support.

  • Generate and present test reports including plots tables evaluation criteria and conclusions from data collected and analyzed throughout the test process.

  • Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes procedures equipment facilities and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Program Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program required.

  • There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicants school schedule and availability.

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

  • Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Strong computer skills including MS Word PowerPoint and Excel.

Additional Job Description:

Required Skills job include:

  • Student currently working towarda Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science. Students studying Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering will also be considered if they have completed additional elective coursework in Computer Science or Systems Engineering.

  • Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering Machine Learning and Data Science.

  • Due to the nature of Drapers work US citizenship is required

  • Some experience with scientific programming with Python

Desired Skills job include:

  • Flexibility to multi-task and adapt to evolving priorities.

  • Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Trade Space Exploration (TSE) Machine Learning and Data Science.

  • Experience with relational Ontologies APIs designing schemas for workflows

  • Experience with various types of data data states frequency volume

  • Experience in managing data from interdisciplinary and various program protection levels

The US base salary range for this full-time position is

$15.00 - $225.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreements approved rates by location and role.
