THE ROLE
Avocado is currently looking for a Senior Finance Planning & Analysis Analyst to be part of the Finance team . You will be reporting to the Director of Accounting.
The ideal candidate will help drive the success of the business by providing financial analyses and analytical solutions to guide management and operational decision-making. Key responsibilities include annual budgeting and forecasting internal / external financial reporting key performance metrics tracking assessing strategic initiatives and providing ad-hoc analysis to organizational leadership.
This is a highly visible role and an opportunity to work cross-functionally with senior leaders across different departments.
Note on Location: You will be working on-site at the corporate office in Fullerton California. This is not a remote position.
Note on Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is $80000 - $95000
WHAT YOULL BE WORKING ON
Assist with the company-wide annual budgeting process and prepare quarterly forecast updates.
Develop financial models reports and other analyses to support key business decisions and initiatives.
Analyze key cost drivers and monthly variances to budget and historical actuals and suggest actions to the business.
Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across brands and channels.
Assist with board presentations to communicate quarterly financial results
Develop ad-hoc reports and presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership.
Support ongoing integration maintenance and enhancement of our reporting systems.
WHAT YOU BRING
B.S./B.A. degree with a focus in Accounting Finance or Economics required; CFA or CPA certification is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in corporate finance public accounting or related fields is a plus.
Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite or other enterprise ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) is preferred.
Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint is preferred.
Attention to detail and strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Regular and predictable attendance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stationary position: Must be able to remain stationary 80% of the time.
Move: This role involves moving throughout the space to meet with different team members and customers.
Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets.
Communicate: This role frequently communicates with other team members to update on the status of a task.
