Job Summary
Route Driver (CDL A or B) Residential Waste Collection
Location: Ardmore OK
Shift: 1st Shift (Start times vary; overtime required)
Pay Rate:$18.00 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a safety-conscious and dependable Route Driver to join a local waste management team in this role you will operate a residential collection truck ensuring the timely and efficient removal of waste while maintaining the highest standards of road safety. This is a physically active role that involves frequent climbing in and out of the cab and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Primary Responsibilities
Safe Operation: Drive assigned residential routes safely and on schedule.
Equipment Handling: Operate hydraulic truck controls to load compact and dump waste materials.
Team Collaboration: Assist helpers on the back of the truck when necessary to ensure the route is completed efficiently.
Reporting: Identify and report route hazards or equipment maintenance needs.
Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior.
Requirements & Qualifications
Licensing: Valid Class A or Class B CDL and a current Medical Card.
Age & Experience: * Must be at least 25 years old OR
Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Driving Record: A clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required (maximum of 2 points).
Physical Ability: Must be comfortable bending twisting reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. You must be able to climb in and out of the truck cab throughout the shift.
Compliance: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Work Environment & Schedule
Shift: 1st Shift; flexibility is required as finish times may vary based on route volume.
Environment: This is an outdoor position with exposure to heat cold and various weather elements.
Safety: Strict adherence to safety protocols is required. Steel-toe boots are mandatory; safety vests will be provided.
Availability: This facility operates year-round and only closes for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
