About the role:
As a Data Researcher (Student Position) at Forter you will be instrumental in the core technology that underpins our fraud detection platform. This dual-focus role involves hands-on data infrastructure development and strategic contribution to our decisioning logic. You will be responsible for designing building and maintaining near-real-time databases and features that directly impact our real-time decision-making systems.
Working with a cross-functional group of researchers engineers and data scientists you will ensure the identity database supports both swift real-time decisioning and critical research-driven investigations. You will leverage rich datasets to derive actionable insights contribute to the refinement of our core decisioning logic and models and help develop the next generation of Forters AI technology.
This role is for a highly collaborative and technical individual who wants to shape the future of identity infrastructure and fraud detection offering significant growth opportunities within a dynamic excellence-driven environment.
What youll be doing:
- Design build and maintain near-real-time data bases and features impacting real time decision making
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of researchers engineers and data scientists to ensure that identity data base supports both real-time decisioning and research-driven investigations
- Contribute to the design and refinement of the companys core decisioning logic and models - informed by identity-data insights
- Leverage rich datasets to derive actionable insights develop new system components and advance our identity database monitoring processes
- Collaborate with a world-class team of Data Scientists Analysts Researchers and Engineers to develop the next generation of Forters AI technology.
What youll need:
- A bachelors student in a technical field (e.g. computer science) with at least 3 full semesters until graduation.
- Availability to work 3 days a week (60% position).
- Strong technical capabilities - experience writing Python code.
- Great multitasking skills - manage multiple tasks in various stages under your responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Itd be really cool if you also:
- Experience with SQL and big data technologies (e.g. Spark).
- Analytical/research experience
