Assignment Details
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule:
1 shift per week
12.5 hours per shift
Time: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and some holidays required
Job Summary
Ahealthcare facilityis seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a Pediatric Bio-Behavioral Unit. This role involves providing compassionate safe and structured nursing care to pediatric patients with behavioral and psychiatric needs. The ideal candidate will have prior psychiatric experience and a strong interest in pediatric behavioral health.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a bio-behavioral/psychiatric setting
Monitor patient behavior safety and emotional well-being
Assist with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
Administer medications and document care in accordance with policies and standards
Collaborate with RNs physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Support a safe structured and therapeutic environment
Comply with facility protocols patient safety standards and documentation requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (State of New York or eligible)
Psychiatric experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication observation and teamwork skills
Ability to work assigned weekends and holidays
