MANHATTAN & UPSTATE SENIOR HOUSEKEEPER

New York NY (Manhattan & Dutchess County)

Candidates must have their own car and must have prior experience in an ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) NYC household - not only upstate experience.

Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Housekeeper to oversee two private residences: a 4000 sq. ft. single-floor apartment in Manhattan and a 6000 sq. ft. multi-level home in Dutchess County. This is a live-out role requiring regular travel between both locations with hotel accommodations provided during inclement weather. The position reports directly to the Estate Concierge and collaborates with other traveling household staff.

Core Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Maintenance

Maintain pristine guest-ready interiors at all times
Execute daily and deep cleaning routines including sanitizing bathrooms polishing and kitchen upkeep

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

Handle fine garments and linens with expert care
Manage dry cleaning wardrobe organization and seasonal transitions

Organization & Inventory Management

Track household inventory and restock as needed
Organize closets storage areas and pantries with efficiency and foresight

Communication & Reporting

Act as the primary on-site liaison for household operations
Maintain clear communication with the Estate Concierge and proactively report any concerns or updates

Vendor & Event Coordination

Interface with vendors and service providers
Support occasional events ensuring seamless execution for the principals and their guests

Security & Safety

Oversee vendor access and household entry protocols
Manage alarm systems and uphold high safety standards throughout both properties

Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in a UHNW NYC household or similarly demanding private environment
High school diploma or GED required

Skills

Proficient with luxury appliances tools and cleaning products
Comfortable with digital task tracking systems such as Asana (preferred)

Attributes

Calm discreet and emotionally intelligent
Strong work ethic with excellent judgment and a collaborative spirit
Able to work independently while remaining in sync with broader household operations

Schedule & Compensation

Hours: Typically 8:00 AM 4:00 PM with flexibility required to meet household needs
Travel: At least two days per week in Dutchess County; candidates must have their own car and a valid drivers license
Compensation: From $55/hour with 40 guaranteed hours per week plus full benefits
