Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance TechnicianReporting to:Head of EngineeringWe are looking for a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance of our site/buildings. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong practical background who takes pride in keeping facilities safe compliant and well is a full-time permanent position working 38 hours Monday to Friday. Salary for this position starts from 30000 depending on the Role: Key responsibilities in this role will include: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the facilityGeneral building maintenance including joinery basic plumbing painting and repairsBasic electrical and mechanical works (within competence)Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety standardsLiaise with external contractors and supervise when requiredMaintain accurate maintenance records and reportsSupport small project work and site improvementsAbout you: Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience in facilities property or building maintenanceMulti-skilled background (carpentry plumbing general repairs)Good understanding of health & safety proceduresAbility to work independently and prioritise workload effectivelyStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailFull UK driving licenceDesirable Skills and ExperienceBasic electrical or mechanical qualificationsExperience in commercial or industrial facilitiesIOSH certificationPAT certificationKnowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) systemsAbout UsFounded in 1797 Johnstons of Elgin is an innovative luxury clothing brand celebrating 225 years of experience in working with the worlds finest fibres.
