Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support a busy acute care respiratory services unit. This role requires strong critical care and emergency respiratory experience with the ability to manage a diverse adult patient population. The unit is open to first-time travelers and offers a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult patients in acute and critical care settings
Administer oxygen therapy aerosolized medications and ventilatory support
Assist with emergency airway management including direct intubation support
Monitor adjust and wean patients from mechanical ventilation
Perform pulmonary hygiene airway suctioning and sputum specimen collection
Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response situations
Accurately document all care in the electronic medical record system

BiPAP and CPAP
Ventilator management and weaning
Troubleshooting high-pressure ventilator alarms
Medication & Treatment Administration
Bronchodilators and inhaled therapies including:
Albuterol Atrovent Combivent Flovent Pulmicort Spiriva Xopenex Racemic Epinephrine Terbutaline Tobramycin and related therapies
Aerosol delivery systems (mask trach MDI nebulizers T-piece trach collar)
Equipment & Technology
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT accepted
Active Rhode Island State Respiratory License
BLS certification (required)
