Responsible for supporting QC testing for in-process final product stability samples and for supporting environmental and facility monitoring including data review/verification. May assist with method transfer documentation deviations investigations and continuous improvement efforts.

The Technician QC Systems and Support is responsible for performing routine activities such as handling samples and retains throughout the sample lifecycle including proper labeling and sample tracking. The Technician is also responsible for the visual inspection of incoming goods ensuring correct labeling and accurate sample tracking. Additionally the Technician manages the shipping of materials to off-site locations. Other responsibilities include performing routine maintenance of equipment and instruments as well as housekeeping tasks such as cleaning equipment and restocking laboratory supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle test samples and retains throughout the sample lifecycle: receipt storage distribution transfer and disposal. Facilitate cold chain transfers of samples.
  • Ensure samples and materials are appropriately labelled and maintain sample tracking labelling and chain of custody records in accordance with written procedures.
  • Maintain inventory and support distribution of QC samples and materials to functional groups as scheduled or requested. Record performance metrics for the sample management group.
  • Follow lab procedures to maintain a safe and organized lab.
  • Perform visual inspection of incoming goods.
  • Ship samples to outside testing labs as needed.
  • Perform routine lab maintenance activities per procedure.
  • Use electronic systems such as CELabs SAP SmartQC to perform and document the activities.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the QC laboratories.

The Technician QC Systems and Support will report into QC Management

Note: the initial contract is fixed- term 12 months.

Specific Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Reliable and detail oriented with organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management regarding task completion roadblocks and needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment meet deadlines and changing priorities.

Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:

  • NL: MLO level 3 with 2 years experience in a regulated environment preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a regulated environment will be considered.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic systems (email MS Office etc.) required.
