Salary and Benefits
Salary is based on our current salary grid and verification of your BC TQS and verification of years of service from previous employers. The current salary range is $59 711.00 to $109 520.00 per annum paid over 10 months (summer savings plan may be available) and pro-rated to the FTE of the assignment. This salary grid is current as of July 1st 2024 and is currently under review with the collective bargaining process.

Anticipated Vacancies
- Kindergarten (applicants must have training and/or experience teaching Kindergarten or early years learning)
- Multi-grade primary or intermediate (two grade split classes are typical)
- Grade 7
- Geographically remote multi-grade (K-4 or Grades 4-8) position(s). Subsidized housing is available in 4 of our remote locations.
- French Immersion (1 elementary and 1 secondary - applicants must be fluent in both oral and written French and English)
- Math/Science Grades 8-12
- Humanities Grades 8-12
- Woodwork Grades 8-12
- Learning Support - Elementary and Secondary (applicants must have a diploma or degree in Special Education or a combination of training and experience in Learning Support)
- Elementary Counsellor(s) - Itinerant position(s) that requires travel (applicants must have valid BC Teaching Certification with three years of teaching experience as well as a Master Degree in Counselling)

- Positions may be located in any of the communities we service. The intent of the applicant pool is to interview selected applicants and complete the hiring process prior to the staffing process in Spring 2026. This will ensure that applicants are eligible to apply to internal positions as they come available. Additional information regarding this process will be provided to shortlisted candidates.
- We commit to supporting our new teachers (those with 0-2 years of experience) by facilitating a structured mentorship program. Teachers who desire mentorship but who have more than 2 years experience will qualify for mentorship based on the provisions within our collective agreement.
- We also believe in providing Professional Development beyond the provisions of our collective agreement. The District has engaged in long term contracts with several (up to 6) educational leaders. Teachers can expect to see the educational leaders in our District up to 2 days prior to a Professional Development Day offering hands on coaching both in the classroom and in sessions (evening or during the Professional Development Day).
- Our local teachers union the Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers Association (CCTA) also boast strong collective agreement language regarding Professional Development as well as financial support for their members to engage in opportunities.
