Primary Duties: This position is responsible for most of the day-to-day in-show scheduling and producing for our 3-hour lifestyle show Unscripted. This position will work with the Manager/EP for general planning of content and client campaigns and then translate that to our in-show format and rundowns.
This position requires an early-morning schedule to prepare each days show. The candidate must be organized with both guest/client scheduling and show graphics and guest information. The Lifestyle Producer frequently works with members of the sales team as well as a wide range of people outside the station.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Contact and book local guests that showcase everything the Ozarks has to offer
- Maintain show calendar
- Determine the order in which segments and guests are scheduled in broadcasts
- Communicate best practices effectively and professionally with the shows team
- Work alongside sales representatives regarding sponsored content
- Work with production team on recording schedules and show management
- Time broadcasts and ensure they are clean and correct on air
- Clip show segments for posting to stations website & shows social media
- Build relationships with guests clients community members and show contributors
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Someone creative adaptable and able to communicate well.
- Work both independently as well as with direction/assistance from the department manager.
- Able to work with a wide range of personalities guests and clients.
- Handle all phases of pre-show and show planning.
- Plan and work ahead on multiple shows at the same time.
- Maintain and update our show calendar.
- Must have a basic understanding of video editing systems.
- Must have a solid understanding of the TV studio production process in both live and recorded formats.
- Must be able to work quickly and change direction with show content on the fly.
Bonuses
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)
- Experience in Akta/Anvato
- Experience in Trello
- Skills in editing graphic design & animation
- Comfortability in front of the camera (not mandatory)
