Job Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of security measures and controls

Protect information systems and organizational data against unauthorized access modification or destruction

Maintain data integrity and monitor security access

Conduct vulnerability scans using industry tools researching the results of scans and reporting on progress of remediation.

Assist in managing unified threat management tools including Alien Vault SIEM Host and Network Intrusion Detection.

Analyze potential security breaches to determine their validity

Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures

Define implement and maintain corporate security policies

Participate in the education of end users regarding security awareness and best practices

Coordinate technical assessments of prospective and current vendors

Other Duties

Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.

Position Qualifications

Knowledge of Paragon and/or basic EMR concepts Foundational knowledge of Alien Vault and/or other SIEM and continuous monitoring platforms; Nessus and/or other vulnerability assessment tools; Firewall management and/or the ability to review firewall reporting; Execute phishing campaigns and effectively report on progress of educating the end user; Network server active directory wireless connectivity etc.

Must read write and speak English fluently. Must be able to communicate via telephone. Communicates with all department personnel. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel residents family members visitors government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must be able to work independently and stay on task. Must demonstrate patience tact a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm. Must be able to take direction from his/her appointed manager.

Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging threats and industry frameworks for vulnerability analysis and reporting; Four years basic computer technician help desk network and phone experience preferred.

Education:

High school graduate. Degree and industry professional certifications preferred or work related experience

Job Setting/Physical Demands:

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Sits stands bends lifts and able to move intermittently throughout the workday throughout the facility. Must function independently; demonstrate flexibility personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents personnel and support agencies. Must demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted. Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary as well as in other positions as needed. Must be able to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
