Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Inspector 2 (1st Shift) to join our team in San Diego CA.

What youll get to do:

The Inspector uses predetermined methods operations setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units subassemblies structural flaws internal defects and missing welds.

Uses various measuring devices as described in the Assembly Instruction.

Inspector will utilize released build documentation to make good part/bad part decisions.

Inspector will utilize drawings part list Assembly Instructions Standard Shop Practices dial indicators micrometers scales and other tools as defined by the work instruction.

Inspector will utilize SAP (Standards Applications and Process) daily to interface with production hardware.

Inspector will review contracts and shipping paperwork for accuracy.

The ideal candidate must be able to work under a microscope interpret part lists lift up to 30 pounds sit for long periods of time stand for long periods of time and must be knowledgeable of using Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications for the Inspector 2 (1st Shift):

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience.

Must be able to work occasional overtime or weekend support as required.

US Citizenship Required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

J-STD Training or experience.

IPC-A-610/620 Training or experience.

Experience reading engineering drawings.

Torque Training or experience.

Experience working in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) environment.

PPE experience.

SAP experience.

Experience with decision making process.

Active Secret Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $47200.00 - $78600.00
