The Commercial Operations Lead will be an integral part of the Money20/20 Operations Team responsible for overseeing the commercial operations function and exceptional operational execution of sponsorships at Money20/20 Asia. The ideal candidate will be a strong operational lead driving the critical path and ensuring strong relationship management throughout the show cycle. This role is pivotal not only in the preparation phase but also during the on-site delivery of the event ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
In addition to their key responsibilities at Money20/20 Asia the Commercial Operations Lead will play a crucial supporting role across all Money20/20 events globally. This position will require flexibility and a willingness to travel throughout the year to assist with the operational needs of other shows ensuring consistency in delivery and maintaining the high standards expected across all Money20/20 events.
Key accountabilities
- Lead and manage the commercial operations function driving the development and implementation of processes that optimise efficiency whilst ensuring seamless collaboration with the wider operations team to ensure that the critical path is driven with transparency efficiency and creative delivery.
- Create own and manage commercial inventory ensuring margins are maintained keeping inventory updated in collaboration with the commercial team and maintaining strong product knowledge to confidently oversee and deliver related projects.
- Create own and manage the commercial operations budget providing transparency for finance and the Show VP by ensuring clear reporting and tracking of the cost margin for all commercial inventory elements.
- With the support of the commercial product team collaborate closely with the sales team to build and manage strong relationships providing the support guidance and resources they need to succeed.
- Oversee the operational delivery and customer experience of the exhibit hall ensuring seamless execution and a positive experience for exhibitors and attendees.
- You will manage the Commercial Operations Executive and support their deliverables and serve as the primary point of escalation for all internal and external partners.
- Work closely with internal departments and external partners such as procurement finance and event tech to ensure that processes systems and reporting are managed effectively and with adherence to company policy
- Understand the overall objectives of all sponsorship packages in order to ensure delivery of exceptional white glove service to clients and the ability to pivot to find solutions that align with overall business objectives and client expectations to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Support the global Commercial Operations Leads on other Money20/20 shows and products in the run up and on site.

Qualifications :
- 5 years of large scale complex high-end event operations experience (required) - Expo Experience (Preferred)
- Proven ability to confidently manage and cultivate strong relationships both externally with suppliers and sponsored clients and internally across teams and stakeholders
- Experienced in budget management and reporting ensuring costs are tracked and margins are effectively reported (required). Cost/profit margin management (preferred)
- Demonstrates strong gravitas with the ability to confidently lead in meetings engage confidently with clients and comfortable managing challenging conversations.
- Self motivated resilient and thrives in high-performance fast-paced environments consistently delivering under pressure.
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility in managing changes related to sponsorship packages budgets commercial agreements and deliverables (essential)
- Efficient proactive and solution-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
- A dynamic and collaborative team player skilled in confidently driving projects from point of sale to delivery
Special requirements
- As this role supports across shows across the different time zones alternative work hours will be required as necessary
- This role is essential to the onsite delivery so it is necessary that the successful applicant is able to travel including but not limited to Thailand The Netherlands and United States of America.
