To support this mission we are seeking a Compliance Liaison with prior experience in pharmaceutical compliance to join our team in Czechia and Slovakia.

This role is ideal for someone who has already gained a first solid experience in pharma compliance and is ready to take on more responsibility. The position requires autonomy as the Compliance Liaison will report locally to the General Manager while maintaining a functional reporting line to the Compliance Director. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating independently within an affiliate environment while staying closely aligned with regional and global compliance standards.

As a Compliance Liaison you will serve as a strategic partner between the local business teams and AbbVies Office of Ethics and Compliance. Your mission is to ensure that all activities whether promotional or non-promotional are executed in full alignment with internal policies industry codes and applicable regulatory requirements.

This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of integrity and ethical excellence. You will provide proactive guidance support operational compliance and lead initiatives that promote awareness accountability and continuous improvement across the organization

This position follows AbbVies hybrid working policy requiring three days per week on site and includes monthly travel to either Slovakia or Czechia depending on the candidates base location.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary compliance advisor for Czechia and Slovakia delivering timely practical guidance on policies procedures and regulatory expectations.

  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of training programs to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Provide operational support for interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs) healthcare organizations (HCOs) payers patients and patient advocacy groups ensuring all engagements meet internal and external requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial medical and other functions to ensure compliant planning and execution of both promotional and non-promotional activities.

  • Monitor business operations for potential compliance risks investigate deviations and support resolution processes in a timely and transparent manner.

  • Analyze data and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) identify trends and support informed decision-making.

  • Partner with regional Ethics and Compliance teams to share best practices align on standards and contribute to a unified compliance strategy.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance compliance processes systems and tools.

  • Coordinate compliance committee meetings including agenda preparation minute-taking and follow-up on action items.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Law or Finance. Candidates with a Finance degree must have demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical compliance is required (not necessarily senior but with enough exposure to operate independently).

  • Experience in legal regulatory affairs audit or risk management within healthcare or life sciences is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws regulations and industry codes such as EFPIA FCPA and applicable local compliance frameworks.

  • Strong ethical mindset and sound judgment.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver training and engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work crossfunctionally and build productive partnerships across business units.

  • Organized detailoriented and proactive in managing priorities and compliance initiatives.

  • Professional fluency in Czech or Slovak.

  • Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).

  • Ability to travel once per month to Czechia or Slovakia depending on base location.

  • Comfortable working independently within an affiliate environment while maintaining strong alignment with the Compliance Director.
