Job Summary
Key Obsessions:
- Material Handling and Inventory Management
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks for raw material fabricated parts purchased components and outside services.
- Maintain inventory control for raw material fabricated parts purchased components and outside services.
- Operate forklift company truck and other equipment to move and deliver materials and parts. Notify appropriate personnel of maintenance issues.
- Accurately record data in ERP system to capture part movement and cost.
- Safety Training and Continuous Improvement
- Follow safe work practices and perform housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with training other team members.
- Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture.
- Recommend and implement best practices to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Communication and Team Collaboration
- Communicate openly share knowledge and build positive collaboration between departments and team members.
- Support and contribute to department and company metrics.
- Foster a positive team environment and encourage peer support.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to enhance interdepartmental alignment.
Core Accountabilities:

- Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety improve productivity reduce costs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors representing Aagard accurately and positively.
- Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Previous inventory experience helpful
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful
- Observant with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Experience with Microsoft products
- Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
- Valid drivers license required
- Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stoop kneel crouch crawl or climb
