Job Summary:The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress courses University resources etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed.
Additional Department Summary:Works with the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies Department Graduate Coordinators Department Heads and C&IS Graduate Student Services Program Manager to enhance graduate student advisement recruitment retention and the overall graduate experience in the College of Communication & Information Sciences. Recruits for masters and doctoral programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with graduate education and/or working with graduate students.
