Job Summary
Job Title: Histology Technician
Location: New York NY 10065
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift MondayFriday 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
(30-minute break included)
Pay Rate: $45 $47 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Histology Technicianfor an exciting job in New York NY.
Key Responsibilities
Perform histology techniques for small biopsies and routine surgical specimens
Process dermatology and renal specimens under appropriate supervision
Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination
Adhere to laboratory protocols safety standards and quality control procedures
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation per regulatory requirements
Collaborate closely with Pathology Assistants and Supervisors to ensure timely specimen processing
Required Qualifications
Experience:
25 years of hands-on histology experience
Proven experience with small biopsies dermatology renal and routine specimens
Education (Required):
Associate of Science degree with completion of an approved Histology-accredited program
ORBachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
Licensure / Certification (Required):
New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
ORCertified Histology Technician (HT)
ORClinical Laboratory Technologist certification from the NYS Education Department
