Job Description
Were helping a well known game studio in Stockholm find a Senior Technical Designer to join one of their new teams. The studio is known for creating interactive experiences driven by creativity with a genuine focus on community and inclusion.
You willl be working closely across different disciplines and with partner studios in Sweden and the UK youll help shape the iconic game universe. Youll collaborate with quest designers designers and engineers to create handcrafted gameplay experiences carrying ideas from initial concept through to final polish.
What youll do
- Provide technical design expertise to bring quests and gameplay systems from concept to implementation
- Design and implement quests and gameplay content in Unreal Engine 5
- Iterate on designs fix bugs and continuously improve gameplay quality
- Playtest evaluate and balance content together with peers and other disciplines
- Collaborate closely with the wider team to deliver strong player experiences
- Communicate design rationale decisions and feedback clearly within the project
- Document your work and keep shared project documentation up to date
What were looking for
- Four to five years of experience in technical design quest design or game design
- Hands on experience with Unreal Engine 5 in a game development environment
- Strong understanding of gameplay systems and contextual design
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers engineers and stakeholders
- A team oriented mindset and comfort working with feedback and direction
Nice to have
- Experience with narrative design
- Experience working with large scale player driven or sandbox style gameplay systems
