Our client a full-service regional law firm is seeking an Attorney for its Bankruptcy Department admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in North firm is committed to excellence and exceeding client expectations with attorneys admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. This position is based in North Carolina in two locations Raleigh and Winston-Salem.
Primary Responsibilities
- Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Review statutorily required notices correspondence pleadings and other legal documents.
- Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes efficiently.
- Attend and argue motions and hearings before New Jersey courts.
- Participate in mediation sessions.
- Provide legal counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Admission to the bar in North Carolina (State Federal and Bankruptcy courts) with CM/ECF filing credentials.
- Minimum 2 years experience representing creditors in bankruptcy/insolvency matters.
- Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues.
- Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with senior management.
