Responsibilities
This role will coordinate with external accountants operations team and asset management requirements to perform the day-to-day back-office finance and administrative function and be responsible for the financial reporting of PBSA assets in Barcelona. The successful candidate will:
- Work based in Barcelona and report to the Iberia finance team
- Work with external accountants ensuring that the finance system links to the property booking systems
- Oversee business process providers and be the link with the onsite operations team
- Collaborate with the financial reporting process of the asset and
- Liaise with the Operations team in providing incisive information on business performance identifying key issues and trends to enable business decisions to be made.
- Gather the required information and collaborate to ensure that all the tax reporting (VAT and Corporation tax) and company reporting requirements are met
- Assist with the annual audit
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable process
- Keep relationships with all main counterparties including administrators and tax advisors payroll consultants management companies in charge of the investment funds owning the building
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced administrative/accountant with 3-4 years of experience (previous experience in PBSA/Hotels will be valued)
- Experienced in accounts payable and accounts receivable process
- Customer orientated with proven ability to develop close working relationships
- Enthusiastic and motivated team player with the ability to plan and execute tasks
- Flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Excel
- Able to speak and write in English and Spanish
