Description of Work

The primary purpose of this position is to research write and disseminate child welfare policy information regarding child protective services. This position also drafts written responses to media requests and develops forms. This position will work as team member for implementation of any initiative or project that requires a policy change in any matters related to the assigned subject matter.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $53164 - 93038

Recruitment Range: $51164 - $73101

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred.

  • Documented child welfare experience and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of child welfare programs concepts practice policies laws and rules related to child protective services; intake and assessments in-home services;
  • Proven experience in ability to research analyze and interpret Federal and State laws and formulate them into policies related to child welfare;
  • Documented experience in technical writing to complete formal written documents and develop forms for a range of audiences that are accurate detailed and grammatically correct;
  • Proven experience in implementing child welfare-related policies or procedures and monitoring those implemented policies and procedures for compliance to get the intended results;
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills both written and verbal to a wide range of professional stakeholders and public.

This position is funded in part through federal funds.

This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
