SENCO (Secondary School)
Location: Camden North London
Contract: Permanent or long-term
Salary: MPS/UPS SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
Start date: April 2026 or sooner by agreement
A well-regarded secondary school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision. This is a key leadership role within the school offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact on pupils with additional needs across KS3 and KS4.
The role:
- Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school
- Ensure statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice are met
- Oversee EHCP processes reviews and annual reporting
- Work closely with senior leaders teaching staff external professionals and families
- Line manage support staff and contribute to whole-school improvement
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and provision
The school is looking for someone who:
- Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination
- Has experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a secondary setting
- Has strong knowledge of current SEND legislation and best practice
- Is confident working with data to inform provision and outcomes
- Can communicate effectively with staff parents and external agencies
- Is organised resilient and able to manage competing priorities
